The grievance of the petitioner is directed against inaction of the WBSEDCL in providing an electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the private respondents, who are co-sharers are enjoying electricity but are obstructing WBSEDCL from providing any connection to the petitioner.

A Report filed on behalf of the WBSEDCL indicates that they have no objection in providing electricity subject to the private respondent's cooperation.

In such circumstances, WPA 10955 of 2026 stands allowed by directing WBSEDCL to provide such electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner within a period of six

weeks from the date of passing of this order and after the petitioner has complied with all formalities and statutory compliances.

Liberty is granted to the WBSEDCL to take police assistance, if the circumstances so arise. The payment for any such police assistance would be exclusively borne by the petitioner. (Ravi Krishan Kapur, J.)
