Sri Akkash Ali Molla

1. None appears for the applicant. This contempt application has been filed alleging disobedience of the order dated 19th February, 1996 in F.M.A.T. 699 of 1995. By the said order, a direction was issued to the appellant to file his return under the provisions of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act within a timeframe.

2. The appellant has raised certain grievances and alleged that the order and direction has been violated.

3. Though the contempt application has been pending since 1997, no step was taken by the applicant to move the matter. Therefore, at this distance of time, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the contempt application pending.

Accordingly, the same stands dismissed leaving it open to the appellant to

work out his remedies in the manner known to law.

4. No costs.

5. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties expeditiously upon compliance of all legal formalities.
