Matter is heard in presence of learned advocates representing petitioner, State respondents and private respondent nos.3 to 10.

On behalf of petitioner, it is submitted that private respondents are obstructing petitioner from using pathway for ingress and egress. It is submitted that complaints were lodged before the concerned police authorities but that could not yield result prompting petitioner to approach this Court with the present writ petition seeking direction upon concerned police authorities to take steps which would permit petitioner to use the pathway.

Having considered the respective submissions made on behalf of parties, it appears that

petitioner's right to use the pathway for ingress and egress is allegedly impinged upon at the instance of private respondents. But police authorities are not appropriate authorities to decide inter se right of parties over the pathway in question which petitioner wants to use for his ingress and egress.

Petitioner needs to approach appropriate forum in order to assert his right over the said pathway. 5.

However, concerned police authorities are directed to maintain peace and tranquility at the locale and to see no untoward incident takes place.

Writ petition stands disposed of.
