Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have perused the material on record. The petitioner is one of the principal assailants who dealt a fatal blow on the victim who succumbed to the injuries subsequently. The coaccused who have been granted bail are ladies and their role can be distinguished from that of the petitioner. Considering the gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, the prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The application is disposed of.
