Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the private respondent nos.6 to 19 are intimidating his client and are threatening to dispossess her. The petitioner who is a Senior Citizen, is still in possession of her own residence. A complaint has been lodged with the Kashipur Police Station, Purulia and it is submitted that no steps have been taken.

Learned counsel for the State vehemently opposes the submissions of the petitioner. It is stated that the police authorities have taken out proceedings under Section 107 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and have constant vigil over the place.

The petitioner submits that there is constant threat of eviction. The Officer-in-charge, Kashipur Police Station, Purulia shall for a period of one week post a police constable outside the petitioner's residence. The said officer shall also maintain strict vigil around the petitioner's premises to ensure that there is no breach of peace and the petitioner's possession is not disturbed.

In the event, the petitioner requires any further police protection after one week, the same shall be provided to the petitioner at her own cost.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
