Let a copy of this application be served upon Mr. Suman De and Mr. Shasanka Sekhar Saha, learned counsels who ordinarily appear on behalf of the State. They are requested to represent the State in this case. Their engagement may be regularised by the competent authority of the State in due course.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is the de facto complainant who lodged an FIR being Shalimar GR PS Case No.25 dated 07.12.2013 under Sections 323/325/354 of the Penal Code corresponding to GRPGR Case No.190 of 2013. Although a charge sheet submitted in 2014 citing 12 witnesses and charges were framed in 2016, till date only 2 of the witnesses could be examined. The proceeding has remained pending for no fault of the present petitioner.

I have heard the submissions of the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the petitioner and the State and have perused the revision petition.

No prejudice will be caused to anyone if a direction is passed to expedite the trial.

It appears that some delay has been occasioned in conducting the trial.

In view of the above and in the interest of justice, let the Trial Court conclude the proceeding in accordance with law and as expeditiously as possible by fixing shorter dates and without granting any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties.

With the above observations and directions, the revisional application is disposed of.
