Petitioner has preferred the present writ petition challenging the continuance of Burdwan Police Station Case No.280 of 2025 dated 14.03.2025. I have considered the letter of complaint which is the genesis of registration of the FIR as well as the submission of Mr. Chatterjee, learned senior advocate who has submitted that the petitioner himself has been duped, consequent to which Narendrapur Police Station Case No.548 of 2024 dated 03.05.2024 has been registered for investigation.

Petitioner submits that the petitioner did not have the intention to deprive anybody but he himself having suffered because of mis-representation

relating to certain digital services network to commence business, the financial aspect has led to registration of FIRs.

Mr. Bandopadhyay, learned Senior Standing Counsel submits that the investigation of the case has commenced and there are materials which are appearing against the petitioner.

Having regard to the nascent stage of the case, I am of the view that the powers for exercising jurisdiction in respect of quashing of a proceeding particularly with regard to investigation at this stage cannot be invoked. Petitioner would be at liberty to exhaust other statutory remedies available to him. Accordingly, WPA 10427 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
