The petitioner is presently posted as Secretary at Krishnapur Gram Panchayat, District South Parganas. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that he has been serving at the said post for more than three years and has not yet been transferred by the concerned authority in terms of Communication No. I/530897/2024-PRD-30014/2/2022 dated July 2, 2024, issued by the Commissioner of Panchayats, West Bengal.

It appears that the petitioner made a representation before the District Magistrate, South 24 Parganas, by a letter dated April 29, 2025, seeking his transfer to other Gram Panchayats as mentioned therein.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the said representation shall be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above, this Court directs the District Magistrate and Collector, South 24 Parganas, to consider the petitioner's representation, as appearing at page 43 of the writ petition, in accordance with law, preferably within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order.

Accordingly, WPA 10505 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
