On the file being sent by the department, this matter was placed in the list. It is running in the list for several weeks and has been called on from time to time.

No one has ever responded when the matter has been called on. The matter, therefor, was placed in the list with the note "First Chance". No one responded even at this stage. Then the matter appeared in the list marked as "Last Chance". Despite being called on several times when the matter appeared in the list marked as "Last Chance", no one appeared.

The writ petition has been filed in the year 1999. It appears that the petitioners are not interested in proceeding with the matter though they had challenged a demand notice issued by the Employees Provident Fund Authorities claiming a sum of Rs.41,250.90 for the period from September, 1993 to November, 1997.

The matter otherwise appears to have become infructuous and is accordingly disposed of without any order.
