Mr. Ganguli, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the in spite of the case being instituted in the year 2017, till date the trial of the case has not progressed and the petitioner is unable to get her retiremental benefits.

Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Mr. Aniket Mitra, learned advocate who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. His appointment may be regularized by the concerned authorities in due course.

According to the petitioner only two witnesses out of 19 witnesses have been examined till date.

Having considered the anxiety of the petitioner, I am of the view that the same is justified. The S.D.P.O/Addl. S.P/D.S.P having jurisdiction of Khejuri Police Station would act as a Nodal

Officer in this case and ensure regarding the presence of the witnesses on the dates so fixed by the learned special court. The learned trial court henceforth from the next date so fixed would at least fix a schedule of three dates and fix at least one schedule in a month so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournments should be granted to either of the parties and the learned Public Prosecutor conducting the case would ensure regarding the production of the material exhibits/documents which are required for the purpose of the case when the relevant witness is before the court. With the aforesaid observations, the present revisional application being CRR 1600 of 2023 is disposed of. All Pending applications, if any, are disposed of accordingly.

Registrar General, High Court, Calcutta is directed to communicate this order to the learned special court who is in seisin of the matter so that appropriate steps may be taken in this regard. Learned special court will inform the concerned SDPO/Addl. SP/D.S.P in charge of Khejuri PS to act as the Nodal Officer for organizing the presence of the witnesses and availability of alamats of the case.
