The petitioner challenges inaction on the part of the competent authority of the Howrah Municipal Corporation in turning a deaf ear to the letter dated May 11, 2021 issued by the learned advocate of the petitioner. By the said letter, the petitioner has requested the corporation authorities to ensure that no further construction was made by the respondent no. 6.

Records reveal that a civil suit is pending and an order had already been passed by the civil court restraining the defendant from making any illegal

and unauthorized construction on the B schedule property.

Under such circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the competent authority of the Howrah Municipal Corporation to consider and dispose of the letter of the learned advocate of the petitioner dated May 11, 2021 in accordance with law upon hearing the parties and/or their representative.

reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to all concerned. The entire exercise should be completed within a period of 8 weeks from the date of communication of this order.

With the above observations, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Parties are to act on the server copy of this order.
