Case No.265 of 2018 challenging the proceedings under Section 144(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure pending before the learned Executive Magistrate, Sadar, Hooghly and including the order dated 02.04.2018 passed in connection with the said proceedings.

Having regard to the period which has elapsed in the meantime, I am of the view that the proceedings have become

infructuous and as such, further continuance of the same is against the spirit of the court.

Accordingly, C.R.R.1539 of 2018 is dismissed. Pending application, if any, is consequently disposed of. Interim order, if any, is hereby vacated.
