Petitioner prays for anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was falsely implicated. There was a love affair between the victim and the petitioner.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the statement of the victim recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and print out of WhatsApp chats.

Apparently, the offensive photographs of the victim was sought to be circulated in the social media. Victim claims that a sum of Rs.5 lakhs was demanded for deleting the offensive photographs and that a sum of Rs.1,20,000/- was paid for such purpose. Despite the payment, the photographs were uploaded in the social media platform.

The materials in the case diary suggest that the photographs of the victim emanated from the mobile of the petitioner.

Prima facie case for investigations as against the petitioner stands made out.

Enlarging the petitioner on anticipatory bail at this stage may be inimical to the investigations.

Consequently, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (A) 1871 of 2023 is dismissed.
