The petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of the proceeding being GR Case no.732 of 2010 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 4th Court, Howrah. Charge was framed in the said proceeding under Sections 498A/323/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code on 4th April, 2012 and since then several dates were fixed for evidence of witnesses. No witnesses turned up. The next date for adducing evidence has been fixed on 7th December, 2024.

Since the matter is pretty old and is pending for a considerable period, the learned Trial Court is directed to dispose of the matter within six months from the next date of evidence fixed before it.

The revisional application is accordingly disposed of. Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
