Petitioner has prayed for expeditious disposal of C. Case No. 2963 of 2019 under Section 138 of the N. I. Act, which is pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd court, Alipore. Petitioner submits that the case was instituted in the year 2019, yet after four years there has been no progress in the case and the evidence of the case is still in progress. Having regard to the fact that the legislative wisdom was to dispose of such application for dishonour of cheques at the earliest, the learned Magistrate should fix at least one date in every two months so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion All efforts should be taken so that the trial of the case is concluded by 31st December, 2025 With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 1606 of 2023 is disposed of.
