Learned Advocate for the petitioner has filed the present writ petition claiming compensation in terms of acquisition of his land.

Learned Advocate for the respondent states that no acquisition proceeding has taken place and that the present writ petition is devoid of merit and the same is not maintainable.

It is stated by the learned Advocate for the respondent that they have started process of acquisition of petitioner's land under the direct land purchase policy. It is further stated that they shall

complete the process of acquisition within a period of six months.

In view of the submission made by the respondents the counsel for the petitioner seeks to withdraw the present writ petition. The same is dismissed as withdrawn.
