Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that Jangipara Police Station did not take steps in respect of the aggression shown by the respondents/accused persons for withdrawing the earlier sessions triable case. To that effect, learned advocate appearing for the State has submitted that Jangipara P.S. Case No.216 of 2024 was registered for investigation in the month of May, 2024.

Having considered that steps have been taken by the police authorities, I am of the view that the primary grievance of the petitioner has been addressed. However, if the petitioner still feels insecure because of the aggression of the private respondents, in that case, petitioner would take out an application before the jurisdictional sessions court in seisin of the matter so that learned court can pass

specific directions under the Witness Protection Scheme, 2018.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 11495 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.
