Nazat Police Station under which the petitioner's residence now falls has submitted report along with Sandeshkhali Police Station and the same are taken on record.
It appears from the report that in respect of two FIRs registered at the instance of the petitioner, Sandeshkhali P.S.
has filed charge sheet being Sandeshkhali PS CS No.108/14 dated 7th March 2014 and CS No.672/14 dated 31st October, 2014.
It is expected that two charge sheets are taken to trial if not already so done. The Officer-in-Charge, Nazat Police Station shall take necessary steps in this regard since the petitioner expresses serious apprehension and threat to his person.
The Nazat Police Station shall escort the petitioner and his family members back to their residence. A police picket shall be posted outside the petitioner's residence for a period of three weeks from date.
The Nazat Police Station shall also ensure that there shall be no breach of peace in the area. In the event the private respondents and accused persons in the aforesaid charge sheet attempt to disturb the petitioner,
coercive measures may be taken after registration of fresh FIR.
With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
There shall be no order as to costs.
