Officer-in-charge, Dum Dum Police Station has given instructions to the Counsel for the State. It is submitted that the petitioner has left his house out of his own volition and is staying in a rented house. It is further submitted that the petitioner is reconstructing and effecting repairs to his own house. Be that as it may, since the petitioner asserts that his house is in a habitable condition and that he is the registered owner of the house, Officer-in-charge, Dum Dum Police Station shall escort the petitioner back into his house. The son and daughter-in-law shall be evicted from the said house forthwith. If the son and daughter-in-law resisted wish to remove their goods and articles, they shall be permitted to come back only in the presence of the suitable personnel from the Dum Dum Police Station.

It is expected that the aforesaid order is carried out within the next 72 hours.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order on usual undertakings.
