And In Re : Smt. Anju Biswas ..... petitioner Mr. Debasis Kar ... for the petitioner Mr. S. G. Mukherjee, learned PP Ms. Faria Hossain Mr. Anand Keshari ... for the State Petitioner is in custody for two years and three months. He renews his prayer for bail.

Learned Counsel appearing for the State opposes prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record including the dying declaration of the victim prima facie disclosing role of the petitioner in setting her on fire.

In view of gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, we are of the opinion that this is not a fit case to grant bail to the petitioner. The application for bail is, thus, rejected. However, we request the trial court to take necessary steps to consider the issue of framing of charge at the earliest and in the event such charge is framed to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible and upon charge being framed to take

to its logical conclusion without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
