The petitioner complains of inaction by the Officer-in-charge, Golfgreen Police Station in taking steps in respect of a complaint dated 1st July, 2021. It is submitted that since after filing of the writ application, an FIR has been registered and no further step has been taken.

This Court notes that the dispute between the petitioner and the private respondent is purely civil in nature. There are serious doubts whether an FIR ought to have been registered at the first place. In that view of the matter, no relief can be granted to the writ petitioner in this writ petition. However, the aforesaid order shall not prevent the petitioner from proceeding against the private respondent with a civil suit in accordance with law.

Hence, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order on usual undertakings.
