The petitioner renews his prayer for bail on the ground that he is in custody for more than one year and evidence is yet to commence. No monetary transaction has transpired in course of investigation.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have considered the material on record.

It appears that the bail prayer of the petitioner was turned down earlier considering the material on record. Allegation against the petitioner is extremely serious. It is alleged that the petitioner along with other co-accused collected money from the aspiring candidates on false promise to procure jobs as teachers and medical personnel. Charges have been framed and the case is fixed for examination of witnesses.

Considering the nature and gravity of the offence and also since there has been no change in circumstance after the bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected earlier, the prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

Learned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial in view of the provisions laid down under Section 437(6) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The application for bail is disposed of.
