1. Affidavit of service is taken on record.

2. The petitioner prays for reconnection of supply. It is alleged that the allegation of theft of electricity, was unfounded.

3. Dr. Saha Roy, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the electricity distribution company, submits that a final assessment has been made. A sum of Rs.2,25,757/- is due and payable..

4. The writ petition is disposed of, granting liberty to the petitioner to pay the entirely final assessed amount in instalments, as the petitioner has not preferred any appeal. The criminal proceeding is also pending. The amount shall be liquidated in 10 equal monthly instalments. Upon payment of the third instalment and reconnection charges, the connection will be restored. In case of default in payment of the remaining instalments, the authority may proceed in accordance with law.

Upon restoration, the regular consumption bills shall be paid.

5. The Station Manager, Kamarpukur Customer Care Centre will issue a communication letter upon the petitioner indicating the break up and the date and amount of monthly instalment to be paid.

6. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of.

7. All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of the order.
