1. To quash the advertisements which were issued by the respondents on 15.1.2018, 14.2.2018 and 23.3.2018 and to publish fresh advertisement for recruitment of teachers through the West Bengal School Service Commission, identical writ petition was filed in WP 13622(W) of 2019 which was dismissed by order dated 6.3.2025. In fact, the court was inclined to dismiss the writ petition with exemplary cost but taking note of the fact that the petitioner therein was doing certain social work and he claimed himself to be a popular teacher in the locality, cost was not imposed. The court considered the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Gurpal Singh v. State of Punjab and Ors. in (2005) 5 SCC 136 under what circumstances a public interest writ petition can be entertained. Further, the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in N. Ammad v. Manager, Emjay High School and Others in (1998) 6 SCC 674 was also considered with regard to the minorities status of an institution.

2. The prayer sought for in this writ petition which was filed in the year 2022 is also similar and the said decision will squarely apply to the facts and circumstances of the case on hand.

3. Therefore, the matter is dismissed.
