In this case, the petitioner alleges that the police authorities have not made any attempt to execute the warrant of arrest which has been issued by the Additional Sessions Judge, 3rd Court at Barrackpore against the accused Rahafe Alam @ Shabad. It appears that the trial is in progress and the learned Judge has issued directions and reminders for execution of the warrant of arrest. This court is of the view that if the petitioner is aggrieved by the non-action of the police authorities with regard to execution of the warrant of arrest, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the trial court. With regard to the other prayer for protection during the trial, it is submitted by Ms. Bhattacharya, learned advocate for the state, that the police authorities on their own had given protection to the

petitioner and, as such, such protection shall be continued during trial.

The police authorities will ensure all protection to the petitioner.

The writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
