REJECTED C.R.M.(A) 1472 of 2024 In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Baishabnagar Police Station Case No. 429 of 2023 dated 09.07.2023 under Sections 341/325/326/307/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

And In Re : Jahirul Sekh @ Jahir Sk ...... petitioner Md. Wasim Akram ...for the petitioner Mr. Tanmoy Ghosh Mr. Abhishek Verma .... For the State In an incident of assault, one person who received stab injuries names the petitioner before us as one of the assailants who inflicted the stab injuries at his chest and abdomen. Injuries were grievous in nature.

Notwithstanding police filed charge sheet and notwithstanding the facts that the other co-accused were granted anticipatory bail, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement therein. Other co-accused were granted anticipatory bail on the ground that the injured did not name them.

The prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
