The petitioner alleges inaction on the part of the Officer-in-Charge, Panchla Police Station.

The police report is taken on record. It appears that on the basis of the complaint of the petitioner, Panchla P.S. Case No.259 of 2020 dated October 24, 2020 under Sections 417/419/423/465/466/468/470/471/472/474/34 of the Indian Penal Code was started. During investigation, further raids were conducted, documents were seized, the records in the office of the Block Land and Land Reforms Officer were verified. It was gathered that the accused persons did not belong to the same locality. The accused persons are absconding. However, a charge-sheet has been filed vide Panchla P.S. Charge-sheet No.192 of 2022 dated May 31, under Sections 417/419/423/465/466/468/470/471/472/474/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The police authorities have taken steps, but the accused persons are still absconding. The police authorities are directed to take expeditious steps before the learned

Magistrate. In the event, the warrant of arrest as prayed for, is issued by the learned Magistrate, the same shall be executed forthwith, and strictly in accordance with law. Accordingly, the writ petition is dispose of. However, there will be no order as to costs.
