Bhattacharyya, learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners, Mr. De, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the State respondents and Mr.
Chakraborty, learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent no.8 are present.

With consent of the parties, the matter has been heard finally.

During the course of hearing, learned Counsel for the parties arrived at a consensus. It is agreed that this Public Interest Litigation (in short 'PIL') may be disposed of by directing the Sub-Divisional Officer (in short SDO), respondent
no.3 herein to decide the representation of the petitioners dated 24th April, 2025 within a stipulated period of time.

In view of the consensus arrived at by the parties, the petitioners are directed to re-submit the said representation along with the copy of this order before the concerned SDO within ten days from date. In turn, the concerned SDO shall decide the said representation in accordance with law by passing a reasoned order within thirty days therefrom. If necessary, the concerned SDO may hear the concerned parties and undertake all the exercise which is permissible in law and the reasoned and speaking order be communicated to the petitioner no.1 within the stipulated time. 6.
The PIL is disposed of without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case.
