This revisional application has been preferred for expeditious disposal of G.R. Case No.1838 of 2016 arising out of Bhadreswar Police Station Case No.461 dated 20.12.2016 pending before the Learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chandernagore, Hooghly.

Learned advocate for the petitioner has drawn the attention of this Court to the order dated 10.02.2021 passed in C.R.R. 347 of 2021. Attention of this Court has further been drawn to the order passed by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Hon'ble Court expressing that the trial should be completed preferably within a period of eight months. In view of Covid - 19 Pandemic in the year 2020 -2021, I am of the opinion that there were certain constraints of the Learned Trial Court in recording the evidence of different witnesses, I find from the order dated 12th February, 2022 that the Learned Court was taking efforts for examination of the chargesheeted witnesses. In view of the aforesaid, the Learned Trial Court is directed that at least two dates in a month should be fixed for

recording of evidence of the witnesses in such a manner that the evidence would continue till the same is concluded within a reasonable time. The Learned Trial Court would complete the Trial within the preferred schedule referred to in C.R.R. 347 of 2021. Mr. Roy, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State was directed to appear in this matter and represent the State. His appointment may be regularized by the concerned authority. With the aforesaid observations, CRR 1901 of 2022 is disposed of.

All pending connected applications, if any, are consequently disposed of.
