08-07-2024 (ct. no.28) KOLE CRM (NDPS) 732 of 2024 In re: An application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Laketown Police Station Case No. 215 of 2023 dated 08.10.2023 under Sections 20(b)(ii)(c)/29 of NDPS Act.

- A n d - In the matter of : Sangita Shaw .... Petitioner.

Mr. Subir Ahmed, Mrs. T. Ahmed, ... For the Petitioner.

Mr. Atif Ahmed Siddiqui, ... For the State.

From the report is it found that the provisions of Section 52A of the NDPS Act have been complied with. The chemical examination report is also now on record.

Commercial quantity of ganja is involved. In view of the restrictions in Section 37 of the NDPS Act, we are not inclined to entertain the petitioner's prayer for bail at this stage. CRM (NDPS) 732 of 2024 is, thus, dismissed.

However, considering that the petitioner is in custody for six months, we direct the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial to the fullest extent possible and conclude the same as soon as possible.
