The petitioner has filed the instant revision praying for a direction upon the trial Court for expeditious disposal of Case No. TR-02 of 2022 in connection with NCB 80/NCB/KOL/2021 for the offences punishable under Section 8(C)/20(b)(ii)(C)/27(A)/29 of the Narcotic Drugs Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that in spite of the above case charge has been framed on 21st January, 2023. There are only six witnesses to be examined. Till date not a single witness has been examined in this case.

Learned advocate for the NCB is present.

The petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the same to the learned advocate for the NCB.

Under such circumstances, the instant revision is disposed of directing the learned Additional Sessions Judge, 3rd Court at Howrah to take expeditious step to dispose of the above mentioned case within this year.

The revisional application is, thus, disposed of. (Bibek Chaudhuri, J.)
