There is a long period of absconsion of the petitioner. Two statements recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code available in the case diary implicate the petitioner in the offences alleged.

The victim is a minor.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected. CRM (A) 1897 of 2023 is dismissed.
