Mandal ..for the State Mr. Suman Nandi, learned advocate appearing for respondent no. 5, submits that he has no objection to the electricity connection being effected in favour of the petitioner, his son.

In view of the above, no further issue remains for determination in this writ petition.

Let the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) effect the electricity connection at the relevant premises within a period of

three weeks from the date of this order, subject to the petitioner's compliance with all necessary formalities. Respondent no. 5 shall produce the sanctioned plan of the building to WBSEDCL, if required, within seven days from the date of this order.

In the event that respondent no. 5 fails to produce the sanctioned plan within the stipulated time, WBSEDCL shall not insist on its production for the purpose of granting the electricity connection. If necessary, officials of WBSEDCL shall be at liberty to seek police assistance from Haripal Police Station, the cost of which shall be borne by the petitioner.

It is hereby clarified that the grant of the electricity connection in favour of the petitioner shall not confer any equitable right, and shall be without prejudice to the rights of the parties as may be asserted in the pending civil suit.

Accordingly, 10805 of 2025 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
