Heard the learned Counsels appearing on behalf of the parties.
Petitioner is in custody for about 120 days. It is submitted there was a free fight and the petitioner suffered injuries.
Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits petitioner had absconded for more than six years. We have considered the materials on record including the conduct of the petitioner who had absconded for six years. Keeping in mind the aforesaid fact and the gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
