For the State The petitioner has filed the instant application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Swarupnagar Police Station Case No. 277 under Section 21(C) of the NDPS Act. The contraband above the commercial quantity was recovered from the exclusive possession of the petitioner.

The petitioner is in custody for nearly 400 days. In view of the embargo under Section 37 of the NDPS Act, we do not think that it is a fit case where the petitioner should be released on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. However, we request the Trial Court to expedite the trial of the case. The application for bail being CRM 4744 of 2021 is dismissed.
