This is a joint application for compromise and quashing of proceeding being G. R. Case no. 513/2016 under Sections 498A/406/323/34 of the Indian Penal Code read with Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act on the ground that the dispute between the parties has been amicably settled. Vide order dated 15th June, 2022 a Coordinate Bench directed the investigating Officer to

record a statement of the de facto complainant and submit a report ascertaining the fact as to whether compromise has been voluntarily effected or not. The Investigating Officer duly examined the de facto complainant and it is found that the compromise between the parties was voluntarily effected and the dispute has been amicably settled. Therefore, the instant application is accepted and in view of acceptance of joint compromise arrived at between the parties, G. R. Case No. 513/2016 under Sections 498A/406/323/34 of the Indian Penal Code be quashed.

The instant revision is, thus, disposed of.
