Bavishi ...for the petitioners Mr. Rajendra Banerjee, Ld.APP Ms. Priti Kar Bagchi ...for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits as follows. There was a free fight between two groups of villagers. Injuries were suffered on both sides. There are case and counter case.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the case diary and opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He refers to the statement of the victim as well as the statements of the independent witnesses which implicate the present petitioners. He also refers to the three injury reports, out of which two show infliction of serious injury on a vital part of the body, like the head, requiring stitches for repair.

Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this is to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected.
