The learned advocate representing the respondent/UOI has filed an affidavit stating that the petitioner has retired from his service on 31st January, 2022. A copy of the order issued with regard to his superannuation from service has also been annexed along with the affidavit. Let the same be kept on record. The petitioner, namely, Gopal Chakraborty had challenged "Movement order" issued under Memo No.E380/3/CISF/DVC/IUT-2017/2016/1920 dated 14th December, 2016 praying for an order from this Court directing the concerned department to withdraw/cancel/rescind the purported order of transfer of the petitioner from CISF Unit Haldia Dock Complex to Assam.
On his superannuation from service, the prayer of the petitioner has become infructuous.
The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed. (Ananya Bandyopadhyay, J.)
