The petitioner alleges that the Officer-in-Charge, Daspur Police Station did not pay any heed to the complaint filed by the petitioner on June 7, 2022. The Officer-in-Charge, Daspur Police Station has informed the learned advocate for the State respondents that pursuant to the earlier complaint of the petitioner dated June 6, 2022, Daspur Police Station Case No. 219 of 2022 dated June 6, 2022 under Section 143/447/341/ 324/307/354B/379/506 of the Indian Penal Code had been initiated. The investigation is in progress with regard to the said complaint of the petitioner. It is contended by the police authorities that upon receipt of the complaint from a third party, Muktipada Dutta and the petitioner were served with notices by the Officer-in-Charge, Daspur Police
Station, asking them to attend the police station on June 10, 2022.
The complaint was received by the police authorities through a law clerk, namely , Bikram Manna, and as such the police authorities issued the notices for verification.
Under such circumstances, as the noticees did not attend the police station, the police authorities did not take further steps with regard to alleged complaint, dated June 7, 2022.
The petitioner and Muktipada Dutta are at liberty to attend the concerned Police Station on any working day within July 1, 2022.
The Officer-in-Charge, Daspur Police Station upon hearing the petitioner and Muktipada Dutta shall act and proceed in accordance with law. The investigation with regard to the complaint dated June 6, 2022 shall be reached to its logical conclusion, expeditiously.
Needless to mention that the police authorities shall keep a strict vigil.
The police report is taken on record.
This writ petition is disposed of.
However, there will be no order as to costs.
All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
