The inspection report is taken on record. The Divisional Engineer and Station Manager, Pandua C.C.C. has categorically stated that mandatory clearance has been maintained between the petitioner's premises and the poles and cables erected by the WBSEDCL, in order to grant electricity to the respondent no. 13. A sketch map has also been produced in this regard. A table containing the measurements is quoted below, for convenience:- Mandatory clearance L & MV HV (11KV) HV in Meter (Feet) (upto (33KV)

The distance between the installations of the distribution company and the proposed meter room of the respondent no. 13, is 71 feet.
As the authorities have maintained the safety regulations, there is no reason to interfere in this writ petition. The police report is also taken on record.
As this court does not find any illegality in the attempt of the distribution company to grant supply to the respondent no. 13 and has maintained all safety and security regulations, connection shall be immediately granted, in accordance with law.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
