Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the Tribunal constituted under the provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 dropped the proceeding. An appeal was preferred therefrom. The Appellate Authority is yet to consider and decide the appeal. He submits that the private respondents are making the life unbearable for the petitioner.

State and private respondents are represented.

The court is informed that there are two children of the petitioner with the respondent no. 4 being one of them. The respondent no. 4 is the son of the petitioner. The respondent no. 5 is the

daughter-in-law of the petitioner. There is a married daughter of the petitioner.

An appeal is pending under the Act of 2007.

It would be appropriate to request the Appellate Authority under the Act of 2007 to consider and decide the appeal as expeditiously as possible and preferably within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

WPA 11599 of 2021 is disposed of accordingly.
