1. Learned Advocate on behalf of the appellant/convict is present.
2. State is represented.
3. In pursuance of the direction passed by this Court earlier on 07.04.2025 a report is submitted on behalf of the State. It appears from the photocopy of the Detention Certificate, issued by the Superintendent, Midnapore Central Correctional Home that the appellant/convict, namely, Baren Roy was released on 14.07.2018 after expiry of sentence, being benefitted UT set off and having paid the fine.
4. The report submitted by the Officer-in-Charge, Law Cell, Directorate of Correctional Services, Government of West Bengal is taken on record.
5. As the appellant/convict has already served out the sentence as passed by the learned Trial Court in the impugned judgment and order of conviction, the instant appeal being CRA 221 of 2013 is liable to be dismissed on merit.
6. The judgment and order passed by the learned Trial Court on 05.03.2013 in connection with Sessions Trial No. 3(1) of 2012 (Sessions Case No. 3 (II) 2011) is hereby affirmed.
7. Let a copy of this order along with Trial Court Records be sent down to the Trial Court at once.
