There is an issue of long absconsion. That apart, the victim in her statement recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code squarely implicates the petitioner in the offences alleged.

Considering the gravity of the offence and involvement of the petitioner therein and considering the long absconsion of the petitioner, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M.(A) 1931 of 2023 is rejected.
