Baruna Naskar (Halder) v. State Of West Bengal & ORS.
WPA 9055 of 2007 Baruna Naskar (Halder) v.
State of West Bengal & Ors.
02.08.23 Sl-17 Ct.11 (S.R.) Seeking a direction upon the respondent authorities to give appointment to the petitioner in the post of Balsevika/Grihasevika, this writ petition was preferred. Selection process for filling up the subject post was initiated in 2006. The petitioner appeared in the written test in 2006 but she was not selected to participate in the interview and hence, she made representation to the respondents but since the said representation has not been considered, the writ petitioner was constrained to knock the door of this Court. When the writ petition was affirmed in 2007 then the writ petitioner mentioned his age as 37 years.
Record reveals that none appeared to represent the writ petitioner since 2007.
I am of the considered view that by efflux of time, the writ petition has become infructuous.
Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied as expeditiously as possible. (Partha Sarathi Chatterjee, J.)
