Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the minor victim girl was not recovered at the time of filing of the writ petition. Subsequently she was. Despite a statement being recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the victim girl, the police did not take further steps with regard to the investigation. Learned Advocate appearing for the State submits that, the victim girl was recovered. The victim girl was examined medically twice. A statement under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure was recorded. The police applied before the jurisdictional court for inclusion of Section 6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. Such application is pending.
In the facts of the present case, the police having taken steps as noted above, no interference is called for by the writ Court at this stage.
W.P.A 11624 of 2021 is disposed of accordingly. Urgent Photostat Certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied expeditiously after complying with all legal formalities.
