Mr. Somnath Chakraborty ...for the petitioner Mrs. Amrita Panja Moulick ...for the State The petitioner is aggrieved that the private respondent is encroaching upon her land.

Counsel for the State submits that the petitioner's land is required to be acquired for the purpose of construction of a road.

There is prima facie evidence before this Court of likelihood of illegal encroachment of the petitioner's land.

In those circumstances, the Officer-in-Charge, Chandrakona Police Station shall ensure that the petitioner's possession is not disturbed by any person except in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

The report of the BL & LRO, Chandrakona-II, Paschim Medinipur dated 03.02.2022 be kept with the record.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
