The limited grievance of the petitioners is that despite the petitioners being entitled to payments under the scheme 'Pradhan Mantrai Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G)', the petitioners have been deprived of the amounts till date.

Learned counsel for the petitioners places reliance on Annexure-P3 at page-73 of the writ petition which is a communication dated July 14, 2020 by the Additional District Magistrate, Birbhum and Additional Executive Officer, Birbhum Zilla Parishad to the Block development Officer (BDO) Mayureswar-I, Development Block Birbhum.

In the said communication, the ADM had enclosed a copy of certain memoranda along with prayers and requested the BDO to cause an enquiry into the matter as

per the Guideline of the PMAY-G/BAY and take action accordingly from the addressee's end.

Although an adjournment is sought on behalf of learned counsel appearing for the State-respondent, in view of the innocuous nature of the direction contemplated in this order, the petitioners need not wait further.

Accordingly, WPA 11633 of 2021 is disposed of by directing the Additional Executive Officer, Birbhum Zilla Parishad (respondent no.4 in the writ petition) to take immediate steps for disbursal of the amounts due to the petitioners under the Pradhan Mantrai Awaas YojanaGramin, subject to scrutiny as regards the entitlement of the petitioners to such amount, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within one month from date. There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
