Learned counsel for the State files report which is taken on record.

It is submitted by the State that contrary to the allegations made by the petitioner the uncle of the girl has not assaulted or in any way threatened or intimidated the petitioner. It is also submitted that the police picket has been posted and mobile van has also been posted in the said area. There is no further threat or apprehension of any violence on the petitioner.

In that view of the matter, FIR being Police Station Case No. 494 of 2021 dated 16.09.2021 shall be investigated and a final report be submitted before the Jurisdictional Magistrate within a period of three months from date. There is no need for any further police picket to be posted.

The Officer-in-Charge, Ratua Police Station shall, however, maintain vigil over the locale to ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
