1. The innocuous prayer of the petitioner is the consideration of a representation of the petitioner for being disbursed freedom fighter pension under the Swatantra Sainik Samman Pension Scheme in the capacity of a widowed daughter of the freedom fighter.

2. Upon hearing learned counsel for the parties, in view of the innocuous nature of the prayer of the petitioner, WPA No. 11873 of 2024 is disposed of by directing the respondent no. 3, that is, the Under Secretary, Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Freedom Fighter Division, to decide on the representation dated February 7, annexed at page 36 of the writ petition as expeditiously as possible, preferably within six

weeks from date and inform the outcome of the decision immediately thereafter in writing to the petitioner.

3. There will be no order as to costs.
