Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. The petitioner has approached this Court being aggrieved by inaction of the police authorities in respect of Ghatal Police Station Case No. 168 of 2025 dated 15.05.2025. Prima facie, it reflects that the genesis of the case relates to matrimonial dispute.

State has submitted a report which reflects that the police authorities are investigating the case.

Having considered the report so submitted and the case having been commenced only on 15.05.2025, I direct that the learned Magistrate, in seisin of the aforesaid case, after the period of ninety days is over, as is prescribed under Section 193 of BNSS, would call for a progress report and a report be also sent to the present petitioner being the de facto complainant narrating all the steps which have been taken in course of the period of

first ninety days from the date of initiation and registration of the FIR.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 10954 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
